We are delighted to have Stanley Talbert as our guest speaker this Sunday, June 21st. Stanley is a Visiting Professor of Religion at Pepperdine University and the Interim Minister for the Normandie Church of Christ in Los Angeles. Stanley is a scholar, minister, and organizer. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate at Union Theological Seminary in the City of New York, where he studies Systematic Theology (Black Liberation Theology) and African American Studies. His dissertation, “Playing in a Strange Land: A Revolutionary Theology of Play” examines the relation between social movements, theology, and sport. Stanley’s message is "Cries from the Cross".
